Pop Vinyl Figure

How cool are these?! Very!! My family and I discovered Funko's Pop Vinyl Figures at the New York Comic Con last year when I caught up with the owners of Midtown Comics at their massive booth (I met those guys when their 1st store opened years ago at the 40th street and 7th avenue location. Since then they have been my comic book family ever since!)

Anyway, since then we have been trying to collect a few when we can. I've seen everything from RUN DMC to STEAMBOAT MICKEY!! Very cool products that for nostalgia sakes you and your child can converse about!! For more info go to http://funko.com/

TAKING A MOMENT TO REFLECT...

Inspiration !!! I've just started working with MED of TUFFCITY STYLES and Jared Kane of JK DESIGNS on MED's next venture TUFFCITY PRINT. This serves as an print/visual media component to the brand MED started years ago. What I like or should I say love about TUFFCITY is that creativity tends to flow out of the location of this brand like water out of a faucet. Everyone at TUFFCITY TATTOOS (where the offices of TUFFCITY PRINT, VIDEO & MUSIC reside) is an artist in their own right. Talented ones at that!!

When you have a minute and you are in BRONX, check out their FORDHAM RD. location (650 FORDHAM ROAD, BRONX, NY) or their LOWER EAST SIDE LOCATION (17 ESSEX ST., NY, NY) to see the multitude of creative goodies TUFFCITY's artists, friends and family have in store for you. This is an urban Disneyland for me. Instead of Mickey Mouse, I've got Cheech Wizard!! Check out their website www.tuffcitystyles.com.

PUSH ON...FORWARD THINKING

Its been awhile. I set out to do this blog because I was excited about it when I started it. After awhile I let other things take me away from it and simply stopped. Not good at all. Creatively, I have found that I tend to let the day to day stresses of life get in the way of my desire and ability to design. This should never happen.

I found myself wanting to write again this morning...which is a good sign for me. Could it be the weather? I don't know. Maybe its the fact that I was able to walk through the Lower East Side yesterday and the wheels just started turning. Watching all the various cultures transform and change into someone else as I moved from block to block. Same human beings but, as they spoke...different languages. I needed that.

I have to push through...no matter what it takes.

Slow motion. This engine is starting to get some energy!!

TIMES MARCHES ON...

I'm feeling the need to write again. It's been at least a year and I have not posted anything. That's not good at all. Having said this I think that I have enough clutter in my head that needs to be poured out very soon!! Standby and wish me luck!!
